Depok, Indonesia — 6 September 2026 — Techbros contributed to the National Seminar and Industry Exhibition hosted by the Faculty of Engineering, Universitas Indonesia (FTUI), in Depok on 3–4 September 2026. Founder and CEO Yudhi Rahadian participated as an invited speaker on 3 September, presenting “Digital Transformation & AI for Future Industry.”

Organised as part of FTUI’s 62nd anniversary celebrations, the event carried the theme “Engineering Innovation for Industrial and Future Sustainable Society.” Techbros’ contribution connected experience from Indonesia and Europe with the opportunities and responsibilities facing engineering students, educators and industry practitioners.

The presentation centred on a practical principle: use case before technology. Understanding who experiences a problem, which decisions need to improve and what outcome matters should guide the selection of AI, sensors, connectivity and other digital tools.

Yudhi drew on Techbros’ smart agriculture work in Pollung, Humbang Hasundutan, where engagement with local farmers helped shape technology trials around everyday needs. He described concerns including crop protection, local weather information, power for water pumps and access to monitoring equipment. These conversations demonstrated why engineering assumptions must be tested against the conditions in which a solution will operate.

The examples also highlighted the relationship between technology and action. Plant disease detection becomes useful when it supports timely treatment decisions. Sensors and cameras create value when their data can be accessed, interpreted and used. The presentation connected these requirements to productivity, efficiency and competitiveness.

The European perspective included Techbros’ involvement in Germany’s ADAPT research project, which explores programmable campus networks and adaptive radio concepts. Changing production layouts, equipment and material flows create a different engineering context, while reinforcing the same need to define the operational problem before selecting the technology.

Rahadian also addressed the capabilities future engineers need to bring such systems into use. Alongside technical knowledge, the presentation emphasised the ability to formulate problems, connect components into complete systems and recognise opportunities to create value.

This includes understanding the relationship between devices, networks, data, applications, security and the people operating them. It also requires attention to maintenance, commercial viability and the conditions that allow a solution to remain useful after an initial demonstration.

For students, the message was to combine technological learning with direct engagement in the field: listen to users, understand their working environment and define how success will be measured.
