Building Future-Ready Talents: Inside Techbros’ Drive Test Training Program
Forging Global Partnerships: A Visit from ITPC Hamburg

JAKARTA — To strengthen the quality of Indonesia’s telecommunications workforce, Techbros recently held a Drive Test Training Program designed to prepare young talents for careers in network optimization and field engineering.

As a new company expanding its presence in Indonesia, Techbros launched this training initiative to support upcoming projects and identify potential new recruits.

“The main goal of this training is to prepare participants who can directly support ongoing and future projects across Indonesia,” explained Muhammad Nurfaizi, one of the trainers. “We’re currently working with several partners, and we want our engineers to have strong technical foundations before going into the field.”

Most of the participants are fresh graduates or final-year students, primarily from telecommunication and electrical engineering backgrounds. According to Nurfaizi, around 30 percent of the participants come from these two study fields.

Over the course of the program, participants learned essential fundamentals to understand how the telecommunications network operates.

“On the first day, we focused on basic introductions to telecommunications,” Aji shared. “The second day was all about technical knowledge, understanding the basics and fundamentals of network operations. We want them to grasp not only the tools but also the science behind the system.”

In telecommunications, a drive test refers to fieldwork that measures and analyzes signal performance and network coverage in specific areas. These tests are crucial for ensuring the quality and stability of mobile networks used by the public everyday.

Although the role of a Drive Test Engineer is often seen as an entry-level position, it plays a significant part in improving network performance. As Nurfaizi stated, drive testing contributes directly to the quality of telecommunication services in Indonesia. It helps providers detect signal issues and plan network improvements more accurately.

At the end of the training, Nurfaizi shared his hopes for the participants. “I hope they stay curious and keep learning. The telecommunications industry is fast-paced and always changing. The skills they’ve learned here are only the beginning, what matters most is how they keep developing after this.”

Through initiatives like this, Techbros aims to bridge the gap between education and industry needs, ensuring Indonesia’s future network engineers are ready to face the rapidly evolving world of telecommunications.
