Techbros and Kencana Group Explore Strategic Smart City & Infrastructure Partnership
Forging Global Partnerships: A Visit from ITPC Hamburg

JAKARTA – On 12 May 2025, representatives from Techbros and Kencana Group convened at Midtown Residence, Jakarta, to explore a potential collaboration on smart‑city solutions and telecommunications infrastructure for an Indonesian municipality.

The meeting brought together key stakeholders from both sides: Anwar, Evi, Vincent Jaya Saputrad from Kencana Group and Julianna, Febrian, Gerald, and Rizal from Techbros.

Techbros presented Smart‑City Use Cases—such as AI-driven traffic management and citizen service dashboard monitoring. The Techbros team also detailed the edge computing infrastructure and telecommunications development plan for one city inIndonesia.

“One of the key points discussed was a potential Joint Operation Investment model for the Smart City Project. The project is planned to be implemented through private sector investment, using a profit-sharing mechanism over the longterm,” explained Techbros Project Manager Gerald Richard Paays.

Another topic that sparked particular interest from Kencana Group was the commercialization strategy, especially the shared pole concept for FTTH (Fiber to the Home), which would later be leased to Internet Service Providers (ISPs). This approach mirrors the model adopted by established tower companies like Protelindo, Tower Bersama Group, Bali Towerindo Sentra, and Centratama, offering a scalable and sustainable revenue stream within the smart city framework.

A diversified Indonesian enterprise, Kencana Group operates across agribusiness (Kencana Agri), construction services (Kencana Maju Bersama), and infrastructure development. Its construction arm has delivered over 50 major urban projects nationwide.

The meeting concluded with mutual enthusiasm for a deepened partnership. Both Techbros and Kencana Group are committed to leveraging their complementary strengths which is Techbros’s cutting‑edge platforms and Kencana’s infrastructure expertise, to accelerate Indonesia’s smart‑city transformation.

Techbros remains open to future collaborations with partners who share the same vision: building smarter, more connected cities across Indonesia.
